Peel & Stick Pine Veneer

Pine veneer is typically pale yellow or light brown amber to a creamy white color that ages to deep golden yellow.

Clear Grade

Clear white pine wood veneer commonly allows for some defects such as small pin knots and occasional pitch pockets. Clear pine is a softwood that is lightweight and relatively easy to work with. It has a satiny, fine texture and an alternating tight and porous grain. Another common characteristic of clear white pine veneer is a well defined cathedral by a variegated lighter springwood and darker summerwood combination. Clear white pine wood veneer will accept stains and finishes but may require conditioning if a uniform color is desired. A clear coat finish will preserve the warmth and beauty of the wood’s natural color.

Rustic Grade

Rustic, or knotty pine veneer is typical of a white pine species except for the large sound knots that are desired for a rustic effect. A common characteristic is color variance between flitches. Typically, knotty pine veneer will be random plank matched so the knots will appear less symmetrical throughout the sheet. Knotty pine wood veneer will accept stains and finishes but may require conditioning if a uniform color is desired. Rustic pine veneer commonly has defects such as sound knots, pitch pockets and other natural grain anomalies. Rustic pine is a softwood that is lightweight and relatively easy to work with. It has a satiny, fine texture and an alternating tight and porous grain.
